| DPS Vindhyanagar has taken the onus of carrying out the
noble venture of teaching the rubrics of elementary
education the 3
R’S, Reading , Writing, Arithmetic to the poor and underprivileged
children of this area. A handful teachers and
preparatory
class to class III is in full swing. Next year it
will grow according to the demand for class and the
existing class will move to class X in a progressive
manner. DPS Shiksha Kendra in a wing of community
service extended to the unreached and weaker section of
the society providing books, copies, uniform etc. at the
free of cost. |

Red
Cross
The Red Cross Club in
Delhi Public School, Vindhyanagar is a vibrant and happening
club. Students take
interest in Health and Hygiene, First Aid measures and lend
their help towards
villagers of nearby area for detailed counselling of
their well – living. They also motivate uneducated people to
send their children for education and not for work
underage against child labour. They visit local
hospitals during Eye Camp & Blood donation camp too.
Consumer
Awareness Club
Students prepare speeches for special assembly to create
awareness among students and staff. The residents of the
colony are made aware of Consumer Right through groups of
students, disseminating messages and facts in the colony, shop
and shopkeepers and consumers in the shopping complex and
market place.
INTERACT
Club
The club
has an active teacher
and students who go villages to educate them about hygiene,
Health, Human Rights, Literacy, funds for them in banks
and employment.
Scouts
and Guides
Scouts and
Guides travel to
nearby villages to educate the villagers on Girl Child Development, Women empowerment, Employment and
Exploitation, Child abuse and child labour. Girls and
Boys give them knowledge about Health and Hygiene,
etiquettes, taking medication, importance of
exercise. Yoga was made know to the dwellers of
the villages. |

Charity
- Students
are taught charity begins at home. They contribute generously
to help the Cancer patients through Cancer Society of India.

The senior
citizens are paid due through Helpage India.
- Staff and
Students contribute for Prime Minister’s fund towards
Natural Disasters with a large heart.
- Our
students and staff contribute as much as they could for poor
and underprivileged of DPS Shiksha Kendra, Vindhyanagar.

DPS
Shiksha Kendra was inaugurated on 19th April, 2003 in
the gracious presence
of shri Narendra Kumar, Chairman, DPS Society. It
is an institute which lends its arms to uplift
the marginalised
children of the Vindhyanagar township. The school imparts
education at the Pre – Primary level to the
under privileged children of the society. It is a step towards education that liberates |
